Questions parents usually ask

Budding questions, answered clearly.

The short version: children make the story, adults own the account, and Budding handles the picture-book production around each idea.

What is Budding?

Budding helps kids make illustrated storybooks one page at a time. A child speaks or types what happens next, and Budding turns that moment into a page.

Does Budding write the whole story?

No. The child decides what happens page by page and chooses when the story ends. Budding illustrates, assembles, narrates, and offers open-ended creative challenges when requested.

Who owns the account?

A parent, guardian, or teacher owns the account. Children do not need their own email address or social login.

Does Budding use AI?

Yes. AI services support illustration, transcription, Story Helper guidance, and narration. Provider safety blocks are not bypassed by switching to another provider in the child-facing flow.

Can we change a page?

Yes. A page can be redone or changed while the rest of the book remains in place. The book's selected illustration style continues through pages, edits, and the cover.

Can a storybook be shared?

A parent can turn on a public-by-link reader. Anyone with the link may be able to view it. Shared books are excluded from Budding's sitemap and permanently marked noindex.

Are exports or PDFs stored?

No. Storybook exports and PDFs are generated for the user and handed to the browser without being persisted server-side by Budding.

How much does Budding cost?

Free includes three books per month. Plus includes thirty books per month, and Unlimited removes the monthly book ceiling. Current prices and annual options are shown on the pricing page.

How can a parent contact Budding?
