How Budding handles family story content, parent accounts, AI providers, sharing, and parent-data requests.
Data Budding handles
- Budding may process parent account data, child story prompts and transcripts, voice and audio, generated images, narration, share metadata, billing identifiers, support requests, logs, and session cookies.
- Child voice, story prompts, and generated story media are treated as sensitive family content and are not used for behavioral advertising.
- Children do not need their own Budding email account or social login.
How data is used
- AI providers process story content as needed to provide images, narration, helper guidance, and transcription.
- Storybook exports and PDFs are generated for the browser and are not stored server-side by Budding.
- Google Analytics runs only on production public marketing and legal pages, not the child creation, account, admin, or public share-reader surfaces.
- Public shared books are unlisted, permanently noindex, and excluded from search engines.
Parent controls
- Signed-in parents can use authenticated data export, privacy request, and two-step account/library deletion controls.
- Deletion is designed to remove the Budding library, disable public shares, and delete book assets, with narrow billing, legal, security, and audit-retention exceptions.
